  1. Everything in one place A great source of information for those new to self publishing. As it says in the description, most of the information included can be found free on the Internet. If you have the extra time to go searching for the information, more power to you. I’d rather use that time to write.

A Decent Overview, but You Won’t Be Able to Actually Write, Format, Publish, or Promote a Book after Reading This One This book is a decent overview for someone interested in the process of self-publishing. It also has some interesting ideas and observations about formatting and promoting books, with formatting being its strongest point. As for writing and editing, the author could have left those sections of the book out entirely, and the book would have been improved. It’s difficult to buy into ideas about writing, when most of the recommendations are rote and really only apply to a narrow range of writing…
