  3. Wonderful Any parent (current or prior) will recognize the motivation for a kid’s first word. This book is colorful, simple, and the kid will enjoy it. That gets 4 stars. The implied joke gets #5! This is officially worth (1) Attaboy.Follow up: the kid (9 mo old) sat still for 4 readings; that may beat out Pete the Cat. But now I must ponder: is that a donkey or a mule?
