Launching something new is so exciting.
After working with authors for over six years, we believe Writing and Reviews will solve a couple of issues authors and book reviewers have faced – getting their work seen. Building an audience. Making money.
It doesn’t matter if you have one book or 25 published and listed for sale on Amazon. If no one knows you exists, you will not sell any books.
Same thing for book reviewers. If no one knows your review site exists, you will have no one stopping by.
Either way, no one will see your work. The words you’ve written and presented to the world will go unread. All your hard work, time and probably money you’ve spent creating a website, having it built or doing it yourself, will have been wasted. Along with the time you’ve spent writing.
Write for Writing and Reviews and we’ll make sure you spend more time writing and less time promoting your work. Set up your profile to auto-share your published content to your selected social media networks and show up in your followers feeds more often. We’ll also share your freshly published content to the Writing and Reviews audience.
At the moment we’re still working out some bugs, like the registration and profile creation process. We want to make sure Contributors are able to build a comprehensive and complete profile, but that it’s a simple process too. If you have any idea or suggestions to help, please use the Contact Form. But please submit your posts! If you’re unsure of how to tag or which category to use, save your article without publishing by using Save Draft. We’ll take care of tags and categories so your content reaches the largest, interested audience as possible.
What to write about? We encourage Contributors to submit all kinds of content. Share your experiences of publishing, writing query letters, or finding an agent. Tell us what it’s been like to follow the self publishing path. Discuss editing, proofreading and formatting.
Getting ready for a book launch? Not only can you share the news on Writing and Reviews, we’d like to help you spread the word. Use the Contact Form to let us know about your launch and we’ll put together some articles about it too. (We might need to set up an interview to get the whole story, via email or phone.)
Book reviewers can share their reviews or news of blog tours they’re hosting and any other news they have to share about books!
And of course, let’s talk about marketing. The biggest challenge we all have, as we try to get the worlds attention. Do you prefer shouting your message on twitter with links and hashtags or getting to know your audience through consistent engagement? What’s working? What’s NOT working?
Please share Writing and Reviews to your network and audience. The more writers who contribute to the site, the more content we all have to share to our networks on a consistent basis. And making contact with our audiences on a consistent basis is the foundation to creating relationships that lead to business – like buying books to read!
