Excellent New Book Series-Glad for New Author I’ve been reading hard science fiction novels since the 50s and recently an even higher number of books each year, and am also actively involved as a board of directors member in advocating space exploration and space science. I agree with the high star reviews and am puzzled by the prominently posted low star reviews. I yesterday finished book 1 and immediately ordered and started book 2.   2. Excellent Science Fiction Author Wehr’s book is excellent Science Fiction. It is well written and professionally produced. His story of first contact with an aggressive alien culture is a common SF theme, but his emphasis on task force tactics and logistics places the book well above his contemporaries. He has developed believable characters and a good back-story. I look forward to reading the rest of his works.

  3. I’m glad I did I purchased this book from the recommendations of other readers. I’m glad I did. I love Star Wars type Si-Fi. Wher’s writing is easy to read and only stretches the imagination a little. It’s a fun book. Be sure to read this one first before reading the other books in the series.
