Oasis (The Last Humans) (Volume 1)

A new dystopian/post-apocalyptic series from a New York Times bestselling author

My name is Theo, and I’m a resident of Oasis, the last habitable area on Earth. It’s meant to be a paradise, a place where we are all content. Vulgarity, violence, insanity, and other ills are but a distant memory, and even death no longer plagues us.

I was once content too, but now I’m different. Now I hear a voice in my head, and she tells me things no imaginary friend should know. Her name is Phoe, and she is my delusion.

Or is she?

  1. Gripping and suspenseful story with an interesting take on a post-apocalyptic world. As a little background, the story is meant to take place after the rest of the world’s end. Oasis is the last livable place on Earth and is protected from the Goo that has destroyed the rest of the planet. Oasis is meant to be a utopian civilization, free of any violence, mental illness, and any real knowledge of Earth before the Goo.

  2. A different kind of sci-fi I honestly really liked this book. It will probably go on my top books of 2015 list, and would definitely be a force to recon with if I read it after January first. To be honest, I’m not even sure where to start. Probably the first thing that leapt out at me, is his, mm, “imaginary-friend.”
