How to Write a Killer SAT Essay: An Award-Winning Author’s Practical Writing Tips on SAT Essay Prep

Why should you buy this book? Two reasons:
* The net is full of abstract information on WHAT to write: my book is full of information on exactly HOW to write it. I include dozens of top-scoring, detailed essays from students of mine who have put my principles into practice. When you see step-by-step instructions on HOW someone has put an essay together, it’s much more valuable that simply knowing “what” the principles of good writing entail.
* My book is also full of practical advice on the seven Rules of Engagement you need to know about when constructing an essay. And yes, you can find some of this information scattered around the net, but it’s rare to find everything you need in one location, well-organized and clearly presented.
And that’s why you should buy this book — It not only shows HOW dozens of top-scoring essays have been produced by REAL students but also provides a comprehensive writing methodology that every student can follow.
I also provide a FREE YouTube workshop series based on the book so students can see my methodology in action. Just type: “Killer SAT Essay” in any YouTube search window and join the discussion. Or visit my website: tctutoring.net

  1. This brings out the best writer inside you. It’s simple, short, and SUPREMELY effective. I had my doubts about purchasing a book to prepare for the SAT essay. I am not an inherently good writer and therefore was faced with a dilemma when studying for the exam. “How to Write a Killer SAT Essay” shoots it out of the ballpark. Let me explain.

  2. The ONLY SAT Writing Book you need! I’ve taken SATs since 8th grade and I am a high school senior now. In all of my past SATs, I have consistently scored 8 for my essays. I was extremely frustrated because no matter how much I practiced, no matter what advice I could get my hands on, that 8 never budged. Then I came across this book on amazon. I had my doubts when I first purchased this prep book. Let’s be honest. With all the positive reviews, it seemed almost too good to be true.

  3. Awesome resource! Really answered some questions! This book answers some of the really nagging questions I had about the SAT essay. For example, did you realize that the *length* of the essay is critical? If you can’t hit 400 words, you really don’t stand a chance of getting a decent score–it doesn’t matter how well organized the essay is or how solid your thesis statement or examples. Nothing in the test prep material from the College Board mentions this, and I wish we had been training to write more quickly and not just focusing on coming…
