  3. Comprehensive… As a graduate student, I found this book is extremely comprehensive on the subject of couples therapy, both from a historical and a theraputic practice perspective. It uses copious amounts of statistical figures and experimental results to to reinforce even its most basic premises. For this reason, it can be a very slow and burdensome read at times.
