  1. DIY Filmmaker Great approach to a guide book for those wishing to make a movie. His approach is about as practical as it gets. For those of us making the first “real” movie, he speaks direct to budgets, technique and does so from a very practical and reasonable point of view. If you have nothing more than a smartphone and an idea, this is a really good book to read. Or if you are a professional and could use a kick-in-the-pants refreshing look at new ideas – this also is a good read.

  2. Is just what it says it is and nothing more The guide was definitely helpful, but I needed to spend considerable time on line to do some pretty basic things. This is more of a get started guide.
