***Very important note for readers***: This is NOT a YA novel. And as you might expect from the cover, 2287 A.D. does contain sensual, gritty and adult content. Even with this warning, for many people it has been controversial and polarizing.

So…if you are bothered (as many have stated in their 1 star reviews and emails to me) by occasional playful, sexual jesting and a small amount of explicit sex between two consenting adults, I recommend that you do NOT buy this book.

Also, if you have religious beliefs that will be offended (as some have stated in their 1 star reviews and emails to me) by an ancient alien ‘UPLIFT’ story as presented in the works of Zechariah Sitchin, again, I recommend that you do NOT buy this book.

To put it simply, 2287 A.D is a full-fledged, fun, sci-fi and fantasy novel ‘written for adults.’ A novel that ‘I’ had always wanted to read but couldn’t find.
Much of the science in the novel is fictional. The ‘superlative’ character abilities in the story are similar to those we’ve seen in Star Trek and the ‘FORCE’ in STAR WARS.They are acceptable norms in today’s sci-fi/fantasy fiction world. A world where rules are often bent. 2287 is NOT a hard science/military novel … so cut-loose, have fun and enjoy the ride.

I also want to give a big thank you to Zechariah Sitchin for his intensive work and research into ancient Sumerian text. Thanks for expanding our universe.
2287 A.D. is packed full of action and adventure, containing ‘little’ filler. Personally, I hate a 3 page description of how a star-drive engine operates (or even 3 paragraphs). I like stories that move quickly.
Ultimately, 2287 A.D. is an exploration into the heart of what it means to be human. Steven is a man confronted by a unique situation. The choices he makes will have consequences that define him as an individual. While fighting to save humanity, he must find the strength to persevere, to decide between loyalty and love – between the yearnings of his heart and his own genetic needs. 2287 A.D. confronts our basic human nature and asks, ‘As humans, how much can we sacrifice before we as individuals cease to exist?’
2287 A.D. tells the story of Ashlyn Parker and Steven Sherrah, the man who is in command of Earth’s last surviving starship. He has been struggling to keep the handful of Earth’s survivors alive, hiding from the most vicious and powerful enemy humanity has ever known, an enemy that is relentless in his determination to see that every last human is killed.

His life is turned upside down as Ashlyn, a woman genetically engineered to be mentally and physically perfect – the next step in humanity’s evolution, awakens from stasis. For her protection, she had been cryogenically frozen when Earth was attacked. Her return is brutal, for she awakens fifteen years later into a post-apocalyptic Earth to find that everyone she had known before is gone, the world destroyed.

From the first moment that her distress signal is received and Steven rescues Ashlyn, his heart is inexplicably drawn to her, as she is to him. Her presence challenges his life, his loyalty and all that he has ever known, for within her, she holds secrets to a past he had never known existed.

Her abilities, knowledge and support will help Steven lead the survivors on a journey across the stars where they will discover that humanity is far more important than they had ever have dreamed possible.

  1. the heck with the poor reviews. It looks like some of you didn’t … Ok, the heck with the poor reviews. It looks like some of you didn’t read the authors introduction, which clearly warns you about the content.

  2. Fun Reading!!! Can”t wait for the follow-on novel. Excellent, exciting novel!!! Very fast paced and enjoyable. I picked up the book and could not put it down until I completed reading it. Post apocalyptic novel that has a very wide range of history and cast. Ties together man kinds rumors on ancient gods and their impact on our development, the ancient relationship between good and evil, and the future and the survival of mankind. What is particular interesting is the character development of the prime characters. Clearly Ashlyn and Steven (the…

  3. A must-read for any sci fi or space opera fan! Even for non-scifi lovers, I recommend you to check this one out! I recently finished this book and I was pleasantly surprised by how deep the story and characters turned out to be. I know many of you would consider this novel an erotica but I feel that it would be a travesty to give this book such a label. I am so glad that this book showed up on my recommendations list or else I would never have found this gem. As a fan of space opera and sci fi books, I was immediately hooked from the first chapter. Normally, I find space opera stories to be too large…
